What are the opening times?

Car Park

Monday: 9.00am - 7.00pm
Tuesday: 9.00am - 9.00pm
Wednesday: 9.00am - 9.00pm
Thursday: 9.00am - 9.00pm
Friday: 9.00am - 7.00pm
Saturday: 9.00am - 7.00pm
Sunday: 9.00am - 7.00pm

Centre

Hot food served in the cafe between 10.00am and 4.00pm.



What are the costs?
A charge is made for car parking in order to allow ongoing re-investment into the development of the trails. Car park charges are £2.50 for up to 4 hours or £4.00 for all day. Alternatively a season pass is available for 12 months which costs £25.



What facilities are there?
Café with food and drink, and toilets
Bike hire, and bikes and bike equipment for sale

How do I go about hiring bikes?
We advise you to phone in advance to check availability and prices – especially if you are coming as a group (telephone 01978 751656).

Half Day Hire - £15 (9am - 12noon and 1pm - 4pm)
Full Day Hire - £19
Helmets - £3 .



Are there any trails in the forest for horses?
A bridleway runs across the forest, however currently there is no access to this from the Visitor Centre car park due to safety issues between different user groups. If you would like to offer ideas about trails for horses in the forest please e-mail.



Are dogs allowed?
Yes, however dogs must only use the walking trail and must be kept under control due to the proximity of high speed mountain bikes!
